Healy Arts Charity (SC051273) will provide free guided walks of the Dancing Wave Mural on Saturday 21st Sept- Sunday 22nd Sept at 2 pm each day leaving from Riverside Museum. Healy Arts Charity worked with professional artists and volunteers to create 'Dancing Wave'. This enormous, continuous artwork - The Longest Temporary artwork in Glasgow- has so many stories within it, we have produced a 2nd publication for 2024, which will be available free online. On the route you might be lucky enough meet some of the artists/volunteers and/or the poet in residence involved in the project- and they can tell you about their contributions to the artwork. Guided by volunteer Singhmatra Singh.
Event organised by Healy Arts Charity
In collaboration with Craft Prospects & Wave Murano Glass
This project ‘Exploring Protocol and Randomness in Glass” is an exciting collaborative project, drawing in artists and volunteers to our Think Tank- ‘Healy Arts Collective’ and Craft Prospects; a space engineering company based in Govan, Glasgow, Scotland. Our exciting further collaboration with Wave Murano will create opportunities for artists & the public to discuss concepts; draw designs and create working models; both in Glasgow, Scotland and also in Murano, Venice. Craft Prospect are supporting Healy Arts Charity with technical expertise and ex-engineering models, which will be incorporated into the artworks. Craft Prospects specialise in space payloads including artificial intelligence and quantum technology.

Special pop up event at Venice Glass Week
An experimental workshop led by Healy Arts Charity from Scotland. We will combine Artificial Intelligence (AI) design with the traditional craft of diamond point engraving on glass. Participants will have to opportunity to try using an AI design program and use the design to inspire their hand-engraved work, using the heritage skill of diamond point engraving.
The participants will engrave an object that they can take away with them. The workshops will be open to the public and glass artists via pre-booking and drop-in.
The workshop also offers an opportunity to experience and discuss the development of AI and the questions and worries that are associated with this ever-developing technology. Should we be scared of AI? or is it another tool that we can utilise for creativity?
Glasgow Museums curators and external experts will investigate the Burrell Collection’s outstanding collection of Stained and Painted Glass, as well as delving into an exploration of material, design and engraving techniques demonstrated in European table Glass.
You can get practical in workshop with glass artist Siobhan Healy who will take you through the process of glass engraving. You will leave with your own piece of engraved glass. Materials provided.
On both days refreshments will be provided but please bring or purchase your own lunch.
